Just a quick update on these products I’ve been trying from The Ordinary now I’m at the 3 week mid-way point….

If you haven’t read my first post about these products you can catch it here. In that post I mentioned that I stopped using the Azelaic Acid Suspension because it made me break out, I did try to start using it again but it made me break out again so I cut it from the line up. Bye-Bye Now…..I know I should have probably kept using it, but because of my hyperpigmentation when I get a spot 9 times out of 10 it will mark my skin, so I wasn’t about to keep using something that was going to cause breakouts potentially leading to the dark marks I’m trying to reduce. No Sir!!
So just for a little reminder on what I’ve been doing / using. I used the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution & Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA daily, initially I was only using it in the evening but after about a week & half I started using it morning & evening. I was using the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week to start – because I was chicken & worried about it burning lol – but I actually used it twice this week & will be using twice a week until the end of the 6 weeks.
Anywhooo back to the matter at hand, I started using the products on the 8th May so today is exactly 3 weeks trying them out. I gotta say I’m kinda annoyed at myself for not trying these products earlier, I’m definitely going to be trying more from their range! Let’s start with how my skin is feeling 3 weeks in, it definitely feels softer & smoother, it still gets oily but I feel like I actually get oilier later in the day somehow. There is definitely an improvement in the texture of my skin – when I wasn’t using the AAS – it’s more even & I can see a huge difference in how my makeup sits on my skin as well.
On the dark marks front…
Now the main reason I brought these particular products, is because they were meant to work well together at reducing dark marks, hyperpigmentation & give a more even skin tone. *DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!* THEY WORK!! For me personally I have definitely seen a reduction in the dark marks on my skin & feel like my skin tone is evening out, I obviously still have marks but I’m really surprised to see a difference after just 3 weeks. It seems to have worked better in certain areas than others but I’m going to keep using these for another 3 weeks or so, just so that I’ll have a full cycle of use. Your skin takes 27 – 42 days to renew itself so after 6 weeks I’m going to compare & see how much more of a difference there is, if any at all.
The dreaded pictures!!

Not sure what I’m going to try next from The Ordinary but I’ll definitely be heading over to their website to have a little lookie loo at some more of their stuff. Have you guys tried any of The Ordinary products & which are your fav’s?
A short sweet one today, I’m going to keep using these for 6 weeks & see the outcome before I try something else. I’ve had my eye on some of the E.L.F skincare products for a while after trying their magnetic face mask. See you on the next one!
